As you are probably well aware, Greek Invite is an invitation only site. If you are interested in telling your friends and fellow Greek Letter Organization members about Greek Invite, you'll be happy to know that we have made it incredibly easy to do so. There is a link in the main navigational bar that says "Invite." If you click that, you will be redirected to a page where you can manually type in your friends email addresses or you can even import them from your favorite email address book. To take you through it step-by-step, here it goes:
Let's assume that you have a lot of people that you want to invite to Greek Invite. That's great-- let's walk you through the process from the beginning.
1.) Login to Greek Invite.
2.) Click the "Invite" tab in the main navigational menu (you can also use this tool in your profile)
3.) Here you have some options. If you have a lot of the people's email addresses in your email address book or in Outlook, then you click on the blue arrow that says "Add From My Address Book" and when the drop down box comes down, you click on the webmail picture/link (unless you want to use Outlook or Thunderbird, in which case you click on the other image).
4.) (Assuming you clicked on the webmail option) Enter your email address in the top bar, and the password that you use to check your email in the second bar (don't worry- that information is never stored).
5.) The import tool automatically pulls in your contacts from your address book, so just go through and check the box next to the names that you want to invite.
6.) When you are done, go back to the Top of that popup screen (you can click the link that says "Top" to save time) and click the link that says "Add Selected To List" and you will be see that all of those names are now in your recipients box.
7.) If you have anyone else that you want to manually put in their email address, you can do that in the box that says "Other Recipients" and you can enter more than one, separated by commas.
8.) You can add a personal message to your recipients if you would like in the box that says "Custom Message" and it will appear in your email to the recipients.
Whenever someone accepts your invitation, they will automatically be added to your friends list. If you would like to disable this feature, simply uncheck the box that says "Auto Connect" right above the "Send" button.
That's it-- PLEASE send invitations to everyone you know that is a member of a Greek Letter Organization. The more, the merrier!
